"APIA WELCOMES AMI INSURANCE LIMITED AND ITS NOMINATED REPAIRERS TO APART”
AMI Insurance Ltd has on the 27-04-2009 sent out to all its repairers 1200 booklets and an accompanying letter outlining its preference to the use of the APART system for its future parts procurement. The booklet will give its repairers an in depth view and procedure on the use of the APART system.
The hope is that APART will be in use by the repairers from the 1st of May 2009.
Supplier guidelines to AMI Insurance repairer quotes,
1-All prices quoted will be NETT+ GST + freight costs where applicable.
2-All parts quoted will be available ex stock when quoted-unless otherwise noted on the quote.
3-All parts are to be of merchantable quality and fit for purpose.
4-Any upgrade work to cover acceptable wear and tear for age will be between the repairer and the insurer-how ever any remedial work that is considered outside that criteria will be between the repairer and the supplier."Best to note on the quote-condition of part quoted if unsure"
5-AMI Insurance repairers are not obligated to accept the lowest value quote, but accept one that is most suited for the repair.
ie-completeness of order
-locality in relation to the repairer
-time factor for supply.
-style of parts being offered for supply
6-NZ will be broken into sections to keep the initial quote with in a reasonable location to the repairer-how ever this can be escalated NZ wide for further coverage if required.
7-AMI Insurance Ltd retains the right to block any supplier from replying to any of its requests if found to be supplying parts in a poor or unprofessional manner or parts of poor quality
All in all ,pretty easy guidelines to follow, and in a lot of cases most of us are already very much accustomed to similar requirements.
If you have any problems accessing the system please don’t hesitate to contact APart support at support@apart.co.nz or on 027 759 6655
