AIRBAG & SEATBELT PRETENSIONER DISPOSAL

q    Airbags & seatbelt Pretensioners are pyrotechnic devices - this means they contain an explosive - and that means they need careful handling and a responsible disposal process.

q    Airbags and Pretensioners may still be sold under the LTA guidelines. However, surplus and obsolete stock should be responsibly disposed of in an approved manner.

q The NZ Defence Force provides a service to collect and dispose of commercial explosive devices – that includes flares, airbags and pretensioners.

 THIS IS A FREE SERVICE

q    To arrange collection of your surplus flares, airbags, pretensioners or any other items containing explosives please contact APIA for details of your closest Defence Force collector.
